Time: 8:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Location: Wimer, OR
Leader: Cathy Souther
My friend has made available her 30 acres of land in Wimer. She saw the GGO last year on her drive and I want to find it! Her land hosts numerous wildlife and birds including American Dipper, woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatches, Varied Thrush, jays, Brown Creepers and Wild Turkeys.
Anyone who is interested can then join me to explore a logging road on BLM land which is a few miles away.
Directions: Coming from Medford on I5 you take exit 48, The City of Rogue River.
Go right, cross RR tracks take immediate left at 3 way stop. Go around corner to a 4 way stop. Go straight, past grade school, about 6 miles towards Wimer.
As you are coming into Wimer you turn left on Queensbranch. There is a closed down gas station on that corner and a church on the right. We will meet at that has station, get a head count and then head to her property which is approx another 8 miles down the road. Look forward to exploring with you.
Rain or shine!
Please contact Cathy Souther via text or email if you plan on coming. Parking & indoor bathrooms are available.
